How will we do it?
The Residency
Based in scenic Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand, a one-month Residency program will bring traditional musicians in dialogue with electronic musicians. Each Season of the Residency will delve deep into a folk tradition, creating new sonic landscapes and artwork.
A Creative Constellation
Agami curates collaborations that birth new artistic worlds - genre-defying albums, music videos, folk tales reimagined through a futurist lens, live performances, and mind-bending installations with visual designers and artists. Every Season is its own folk futurist universe.
The Network
We’re part of a global ecosystem of like-minded initiatives - partnering with forward-thinking music and art festivals, collaborating with emerging artist-focused streaming platforms and engaging leaders who envision a tech-enabled future rooted in fairness and human dignity.
We are at a critical juncture where technology is transforming art at lightning speed, yet audiences are craving something real, something different. We’re answering that call with a bold vision – rooted in deep cultural tradition, but unafraid to experiment with cutting edge tech.

Founder and Chief Alchemist
A passionate Human Rights advocate, Farzana has spent over 20 years working with leading international organizations such as UN bodies, philanthropic foundations, and corporate sustainability firms. Along the way, she came to believe that art and music hold the key to the kind of fundamental social change that institutions alone can not achieve. She now brings her expertise in problem-solving, people management, and fundraising to leading Agami Folk.
Steven Montecucco
Programs Director
Steven montecucco is an artist, designer, and educator making the world a better place with music. A 2023 Graduate of the Berklee Global Jazz Institute Master's program, they had the chance to study and perform with some of the greatest musicians in the world including TerriLyne Carrington, Joe Lovano, Danilo Perez, and Rasmee Isan Soul among many others.
